Dickie Daniels and Dave Middleditch continued their assault on the Watford & District Pairs competition and advanced to the last 16 when they pipped T R Spicer by a single shot on the extra end.
The men's team returned to winning ways in the Watford & District League, when they had a satisfying win against the normally strong Garston, by 62 shots to 55. The winning rinks were Arthur Muir, Andy Bennet and Malcolm Page, skipped by Roy Edwards by 19 to 13, and John Roe, Bryan Mayhew, and Dave Middleton skipped by Tom Barker who won 26 to 17.
In a friendly match against East Barnet Valley on a Saturday, Borehamwood's men drew a complete blank going down on all three rinks and losing the match by a poor 33 shots to 77.
The ladies rinks however, were successful with Lesley Martin, Audrey Page and Peggy Pollentine skipped by Eve Middleditch scoring an impressive win by 23 shots to 21.
On the following day, the men returned to winning ways by continuing their impressive run in the Watford & District league, when they beat Kings Langley at Meadow Park by 61 shots to 45.
Borehamwood's two successful rinks weer Dickie Daniels, Peter Holmes and Adrian Pardini, skipped by Roy Edwards, who emerged triumphant, after being down early on, by 23 to 16, and Eric Witney, Dave Middleditch and Colin Williams, skipped by Dave Winter, who won 24 to 11.
The ladies completed a most satisfying day when Eileen Mason, Madge Barker and Eve Middleditch gained a convincing win on their rink by 21 to 14.
