Radlett are to host Derbyshire for the first time in a family day at Cobden Hill next month to raise funds for the club and for Zimbabwe's cricketers.
Sunday, July 25, has been set aside for the return of Dave Houghton, who coached Radlett for two seasons before his appointment by Derbyshire this year.
A Radlett invitation side with a Zimbabwean international flavour are providing opposition for the visiting professionals, starting at 1pm. Admission will be free, with cars charged £10. Corporate hospitality packages are already on sale.
Radlett used to host highly popular Yorkshire visits in the seventies when Richard Hutton provided the connection.
The Hertfordshire club could claim two links with Derbyshire through Houghton and Donald Carr, a former Derbyshire captain, who still lives in Radlett.
