Slough 178-3 Radlett 176 Home Counties Premier Radlett slipped to their second successive defeat at Slough on Saturday, and are now second from bottom in the table.
Captain Nick Fielden once again won the toss and elected to bat on a dry surface, hoping to post a score and bowl Slough out.
However, Radlett were soon in trouble with Hampton caught in the gully for 0 off Naylor and Steve Lowe quickly following him for 1.
Shane Burger and Fielden held things together until lunch against some decent seam and spin bowling from the Slough attack.
At 100-2, Radlett had a good platform but once Fielden (42) and Burger (47) fell, Radlett's inning's ressembled something of a procession.
Only Chaudry (33) and Browne with 11 not out could add any respectability to the scoreline.
Radlett got off to a great start with the ball, Robbie Crocker bowling Mahmood for nought in his first over. Lane was soon to follow and Radlett sniffed a unlikely result when they captured Lane to leave the score at 27-2.
However Khan (61) and Aziz (60 not out) saw Slough home, and despite having some luck, they thoroughly derserved their victory. Slough & Windsor Observer
