A MENTAL health trust has won an award for the sixth year running for health and safety.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awarded the Gold Medal standard to the Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
This award was first launched 55 years ago by RoSPA. The scheme looks at accident records and the health and safety management systems in place.
Andrew Wellings, the trust’s head of facilities and maintenance, said: “I am really delighted the trust has won this Gold Medal award for the sixth year running.
“As a trust we work very hard to provide and promote a safe environment for all our service users and staff and this award really recognises the Trust’s commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The trust has shown that it is committed to striving for continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”
