A GROUP of young people from the Prince's Trust Team Programme have given the courtyard area of a Borehamwood primary school a makeover.
The scheme, designed for people aged 16-25 years old who are not in education, employment, or are ex-offenders, saw a team visit Meryfield Primary School, in Theobald Street.
On Wednesday, they celebrated the success of their three week project, which saw them plan and design the renovation.
Anna Johns, team leader, said “This is the first team in Borehamwood and I am very proud of the team and what they have and can achieve in such a short time scale. For some of these young people it is the first time they have started and see something through to the end.
“We are now starting to recruit for the next team in the area, so if you know of any young people who would benefit from the course then please get in touch or if you are a community organisation and have a challenge for the next course please get in touch”.
The project has been run by the Watford YMCA in conjunction with the Prince's Trust. For more details about a forth coming 12 week programme in Borehamwood, contact Anna on 07977 927193 or Hazel on 07966 457369.
