GLAMOUR model and reality television star Jodie Marsh will jump out of a plane at 10,000 feet next month to raise money for the Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Trust.
The 32-year-old spoke to reporter Chris Hewett about her excitement leading up to the jump, and revealed that the charity stunt is taking her more than a little out of her comfort zone.
She has posed naked for an animal rights charity, stood scantily-clad on a giant wedding cake in Leicester Square, and had every minute of her day broadcast to millions on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother.
But the larger-than-life model and tattooist says she is nervous about next month's charity skydive.
"I don't know why, but I'm getting really scared about it," she said. "I keep thinking if someone really didn't like me they might just cut the parachute.
"I'm really looking forward to it though, it is a good fear - I can't wait. I've done some really crazy, stupid things for charity before - I just can't say no."
Essex-born Jodie has become somewhat of an ambassador for the air ambulance - she fronts an annual bike ride in aid of the charity, is taking part in a trek in Italy next year, and has recently posed for a fundraising calendar.
The Harley Davidson rider said: “As a biker, I'm very aware of the work the air ambulance does after an accident. It is humbling when you see that they are constantly saving people's lives and the charity relies entirely on public donations, so if I can help out, I will.”
The model will be one of 50 people taking on a tandem skydive, on Sunday, June 12, to raise some of the £250,000 needed to run the air ambulance every month.
"If I could jump out of the plane with anyone in the world, it would have to be with Gerard Butler and Plan B," she said.
"But I'll be there with some of my best friends and I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible."
