AN ELSTREE author is making a television appearance on The Vanessa Show next week.

Paul Wilder, 55, has already appeared on the Channel 5 daytime show and will return as a “sofa surfer” with Elvis impersonator Tony Zitren and host Vanessa Feltz’s fiancé Ben Ofoedu.

Mr Wilder said: "I really enjoyed the show. It is filmed in a small intimate studio and I was delighted to be invited back with Tony.

“The atmosphere is very relaxed and Vanessa and Ben were really professional and made us feel an important part of the show”

Former Brookside actress and model Jennifer Ellison was the celebrity guest on the show and Mr Wilder added: "Being a former Brookside fan, it was a pleasure to meet Jennifer, she was very friendly and we had a good chat after the show.”

Mr Wilder has also worked as an extra on shows such as EastEnders, The Bill and Holby City as well as being a regular talking head on reality television programmes such as Big Brother’s Big Mouth.

He appeared in a show in January signing copies of his book Paul Wilder: My Quest for TV Fame, at The Television and Movie Store, in Shenley Road.

He has recently filmed playing a dead body for Law and Order: UK starring Bradley Walsh and Paul Nicholls.
