STAFF and customers at a store in Borehamwood have collected 100 bags of donated items to raise money for a disability charity.
Safestore, in Sterling Way, asked staff and customers to donate any unwanted clothes, books, toys and household goods to be sold at shops for charity Scope in the area.
David Lashley, manager of Borehamwood's Safestore, said: ”Many of our customers use our facilities when they are de-cluttering or moving house, so to be able to drop off unwanted items for charity at the same time seemed a logical opportunity.
"Seeing the huge amount of collected items we were able to send to the Scope shops in the area really highlights just how much effort everyone has poured into helping to raise money for this important cause.”
Rachel Farrow, fundraiser for Scope, said: “I’d like to thank all the staff and customers of Safestore for their generosity.
"The amount of goods we received was unprecedented and will make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of disabled people and their families who we support."
