THE Rotary Club of Elstree & Borehamwood is desperately seeking a venue for its school arts show, which forms part of the town festival.
Since its introduction in 1998, rotarians have used the village hall, in Shenley Road, to display artwork from 14 schools.
However, with the building due for demolition in preparation for a new complex, which will house a replacement hall, library and museum, the club cannot use the site.
Members are now appealing to anyone who may be able to provide a similar sized venue, located near Shenley Road, so the schoolchildren will still be able to show off their work.
Rotarian David Clout said: “We have investigated several other venues, but until now we have hit a brick wall.”
President John Page, added: “We know how popular the school art show is and we do not want to disappoint the schools, the children, their parents and the public.
“So if anyone can help, such as the agent for an empty office or shop complex, we should love to hear from them as soon as possible.”
The 55th Annual Civic Festival runs from Saturday June 18, to Sunday, July 3. David Clout can be contacted on 01923 854403 or via david.clout@btinternet.com
