A RUGBY match between Borehamwood and its twin town in France is the highlight of a family fun day on Saturday.
The event at Harrow Rugby Ground, in Stanmore, which is the home of Borehamwood Rugby Club, will welcome the veterans rugby team from Fontenay-aux-Roses for the free event.
Activities start at 11am and includes a bouncy castle and stalls for different activities in the region, with the match kicking off at 2.30pm.
Organisers BETTA (Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Association) chairman Martine Eni said: “We will be promoting rugby by running tag rugby activities for parents and children. There will also be a barbecue with a vegetarian option.
“We will welcome the mayors of Harrow, Elstree and Borehamwood and Hertsmere to give the winners cup.”

Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Association aims to form connections with the area's twin towns including Fontenay-aux-Roses, on the outskirts of Paris, and Offenburg, in south-west Germany, near Strasbourg.
