FESTIVAL organisers are hoping for sunny weather at next month's Radlett Festival.

Entertainment will include horse act Stallions of Substance, the Ricky Lopez Ratpack Show, a dog show, the Radlett Horticultural Society Scarecrow Competition, the Soap Box Derby, the Scouts palm tree climbing challenge, stalls, games and a funfair.

There will also be a jazz band, morris men, food and refreshments.

This year's top raffle prize is a holiday for two in Cyprus at a five-star hotel.

The festival is sponsored by Beaver Travel, Aitchinsons Estate Agents and new sponsor Metro Bank. The festival will take place, on Sunday June 12, from 12noon to 4.30pm.

Festival chairman Viv Charrett said “We are very fortunate to have gained Metro Bank as a sponsor this year.

“Metrobank have given us a sum of money, but also will provide staff to help out on the day.

“We hope this will be the beginning of a great relationship with Radlett.”

Richard Gann, Metro Bank local director, said: “We are delighted to be associated with the Radlett Festival and look forward to joining in with the celebrations on June 12."

Programmes are on sale and can be purchased from the Parish Council Offices, at the Radlett Centre, in Aldenham Avenue, Aitchison’s Estate Agents and Beaver Travel.

Prices are £2.50 in advance, £3 on the day and entrance is free for under-16s.
