HEALTH bosses are extending a three-month consultation on plans to create an NHS foundation trust.
Several local authorities contacted Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust to ask for extra time to comment on plans to create the new type of health organisation, which would be free from Government control with more autonomy to manage its own affairs.
The councils said they had not had the opportunity to comment on the trust’s plans during the run-up to the local elections.
The trust has extended the consultation by two weeks to Monday, May 23. The public can also still email their comments to communityft@hchs.nhs.uk or by downloading the consultation leaflet from the website www.hertschs.nhs.uk
A virtual consultation form can also be found on the trust’s website homepage at www.hertschs.nhs.uk by clicking on the consultation tab.
