BOTH Lib Dem councillors on Hertsmere Borough Council have lost their seats, it has been announced.
The first batch of results have been announced at Allum Hall, and it is more bad news for the Lib Dems after the last night's disastrous election results across the UK.
Tories Leslie Winters and Carey Keates have grabbed former Lib Dem seats in Bushey St James and Bushey North, while former councillor Roger Kutchinsky came a disappointing third in Bushey Heath where incumbent conservative Paul Morris swept to victory.
Other results announced, in Borehamwood Brookmeadow, Aldenham West, and Aldenham East are all held by the Tories, and council leader Morris Bright has won re-election in Elstree with 77 per cent of the vote.
More results are set to follow shortly, including in Borehamwood Kenilworth where Richard Butler is hotly tipped to join his father Ernie on the council.
