COUNTING of votes is underway in the elections to Hertsmere Borough Council, and Aldenham Parish Council, and Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council.
Residents went to the polls yesterday, and ballot boxes were stored overnight, to be opened at midday today.
Dozens of volunteers have been drafted in to count the ballot papers this afternoon.
Elections are being held for 13 seats on the borough council, while all the town and parish councillors have been out campaigning for re-election.
The vote counting is expected to take around three hours to complete, with results announced as they are determined.
