Commuters will be able to use Oyster cards to pay for train journeys from Borehamwood before the end of 2008, Transport for London announced this week.
The pre-pay cards have been in use on the Underground since 2003. The scheme will be extended to all national rail services within zones one to six in London, which includes Elstree and Borehamwood station but not Radlett.
The cards can store credit as well as Travelcards or bus pass tickets.
