Twelve teams entered a hard-fought Town Festival five-a-side competition on Sunday at the Hertswood Centre.
The winning team, after six hours of matches, was the Angry Beavers who were awarded a trophy by Town Mayor Peter Hedges.
Runners-up medals were awarded to TAC United who won through to the final after an exciting penalty shoot out against Zenon.
The competion was staged at the Hertswood Centre in Potters Lane, Borehamwood, as part of the annual Elstree & Borehamwood Town Festival.
Entertainments Officer Paul Welsh said the competition, which has been running for several years, was a way of bringing people together. "Those who don't often come to events like these thoroughly enjoy them.
"It all went very smoothly and I would like to thank Steve Swain, the Adult Sports Manager, for organising the event."
