Borehamwood Police, Endemol and Channel 4 are taking steps to ensure there will be no more violent arguments at the Big Brother house at Elstree Studios.
Tempers flared at the house in the early hours of Wednesday, June 16, when producers cut the live broadcast, and security guards were sent in to break up a fight involving most of the "housemates".
Since then, Hertfordshire Constabulary has been in discussions with Channel 4 and Endemol about ways of avoiding more drunken brawls.
There were rumours that the show could be taken off the air, but this now seems unlikely, as volatile housemate Emma has been told to leave, although producers stressed she was no more to blame than any other "housemate".
A Channel 4 spokesman said: "All parties have been seeking to agree a course of future action that keeps the events of Wednesday night in proper perspective, but which satisfies the public interest and ensures the welfare and safety of the housemates."
