People working at Hertsmere Borough Council's offices in Borehamwood took a well-deserved tea break recently to raise money for the borough's hospice.
Council officers from Hertsmere Borough and the county council's Adult Care Services department took part in the Tea at Three event, held in aid of the Watford Peace Hospice, which treats patients from Hertsmere.
The council workers raised hundreds of pounds for the hospice, and enjoyed a range of tasty hot beverages. Tara Shaw, the hospice's fundraiser for Hertsmere, said: "At 3pm everybody put their pens down and went to have tea. We had the chief officers Ron Higgins and Eden Lee pouring tea for the staff, and everybody got involved."
The Hertsmere event was held as part of a national Tea at Three day in aid of Britain's hospices.
