I am replying to a letter sent in by Barry Allsuch in the Times on June 11.

This is an excuse to turn an area of green into a car park. The only reason this is an eyesore is the dumping. Many car parks I know have dumping on them, and having a car park itself would not stop any dumping.

As for an area being overgrown all that means is that is good for wildlife. If Mr Allsuch has a problem with flytipping, either using CCTV cameras or better still why does he clear the tipped area up himself, I would be glad to help.
