A detective is planning to sing his way across the country in a bid to raise money for charity.
Singing detective Pete Ward of Hertfordshire Constabulary is set to walk from the east to the west coast of Britain over two weeks starting on July 3.
The 200 mile trek from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood Bay in West Yorkshire will be livened up by Detective Constable Ward's much practiced repertoire of Oasis, Robbie Williams and Elvis songs.
All money raised will go to Cancer Research UK and the Myosotis Trust, a charity that helps Romanian children.
Any individual or company that would like to sponsor the trip should contact Pete by calling 01727 796687.
