All the fun of the fair will be featured when Circus Ricardo comes to Radlett on Sunday, June 27.
The British travelling circus puts on a two-hour show, which tells the love story between a clown and a clockwork doll.
There will be a tightrope walker, plate-spinning, trapeze artists, unicyclists, jugglers and illusion acts.
No animals are used in the performance, and the circus performers will hold skills workshops with children at Fair Field Junior School, where the circus will be based.
Fair Field PTA chairman Ilyse Antoniou, who organised the event, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for the children to have some fun learning circus skills, relevant to classroom topics within the curriculum, as well as attending the shows in a big top within the grounds of their very own school.
"We also hope to raise a lot of money for the school, which will go towards the refurbishment of the swimming pool, which has taken place this term. So the children benefit all ways round."
Tickets for the show cost £5, and are available from Battlers Green Farm Shop, Common Lane, Radlett, or from Beaver Travel, Watling Street. For more about the circus visit www.circusricardo.com.
