A mysterious urn, containing the remains of a woman, has been handed in to Hertfordshire Police.
The ashes are of a woman called Rose Hogan, who died on January 18, 1983, and are contained in a brown metal urn, which was handed to the police in March.
Unless it is claimed by August 1 the ashes will be scattered at Garston Cemetery.
Insp Chris Sharwood-Smith said: "This is a strange object to have handed in. There is undoubtedly a huge sentimental value attached to this urn so we are keen to find any relatives who may have lost it." Call Hatfield Police on 01707 638138, quoting reference B2/171/2004.
