A Borehamwood man appeared at the Old Bailey last Thursday charged with murder, following an incident in Willesden in March.
Jake Rennards from Durham Road, aged 30, stands accused of killing 41-year-old John Flynn after an alleged argument in Willesden, north London.
Mr Flynn's body was found by police the next day in Park Avenue, Cricklewood, and a post mortem revealed he had died of a ruptured spleen.
Rennards confirmed his name at the preliminary hearing, but did not enter a plea. He was remanded on conditional bail. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on July 29, for a plea and directions hearing.
