Former Mayor of Hertsmere Stuart Nagler spoke to Radlett's branch of the Council of Christians and Jews recently. Mr Nagler, who was Hertsmere's first Jewish Mayor, attended around 500 events in his year, and was warmly welcomed at non-Jewish religious functions, although he was rather confused when he was asked to take Communion, as he didn't know what it meant.
