The event will begin with the plaque unveiling ceremony taking place at Wendy's former London home.
The plaque will be unveiled by the co-writer of Dad's Army and Are You Being Served?, David Croft OBE.
Following the plaque unveiling, The Heritage Foundation will be holding a lunch to celebrate Wendy's life at a London hotel. The lunch will be attended by a large number of Wendy's showbusiness colleagues and friends and is sure to be a very special event.
Wendy's Borehamwood film & TV credits included: the first Big Screen outing for On the Buses, the film version of Are You Being Served? (both made at Elstree Studios and 21 years playing Pauline Fowler in the BBC soap, EastEnders (made, of course, at BBC Elstree).
More details on this event (which IS open to the public) can be found by visiting The Heritage Foundation's official website (link can be found to the right).
