An air ambulance landed in Borehamwood as a child was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Herts Police confirmed that officers had closed Palmers Road after a crash, yesterday evening (September 5), and asked people to avoid the area.
This morning, the force has confirmed that it involved a vehicle and a child pedestrian, who suffered “serious injuries to her foot”.

Police were called at around 5.55pm and attended alongside the ambulance service, an air ambulance also landed at the scene.
The girl was taken to hospital to have her injuries assessed but a police spokesperson said that they were not believed to be life-threatening.
It came on the same day that a 15-year-old was hit by a Mini in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, near the junction for Gade Avenue.
Herts Police were called at around 8.09am and a spokesperson for the force confirmed the boy was taken to hospital but no details of the level of his injuries were shared.
