A former Bushey schoolboy and youth council chairman has celebrated being called to the bar at the age of 24.
The average age for becoming a barrister is rising and currently around 29, but Jackie Warman has completed his training course this year - officially becoming a barrister on July 25.
The former Queens’ School student now aims to specialise in IT and IP law, having completed a master’s on the topic after his law degree at the University of Sussex.

He said: “It felt like one of the best moments of my life, like everything I had done led up to it from the very first day of university to now.
“I was very glad that I did it and very happy that the people I love the most, my family, were there to celebrate it with me.”
Mr Warman explained that it took “a lot of hard work” and there were moments the now 25-year-old almost felt like giving up, but he would think about how far he had come and stay positive.
“I stayed strong, kept my mind on my goals and got there,” the former Elstree and Borehamwood Youth Council chairman added.
