M1 resurfacing near Watford is among the planned closures set to cause delays over the next two weeks.

Motorists in the area will want to avoid expected delays of around 10 to 30 minutes if travelling southward late at night at the start of next month.

The M1 between junction 6A and junction 5 will be under a southbound carriageway and slip road closure for resurfacing works between 10pm and 5.30am from July 1 to July 3.

There will be a diversion in place via local authority roads which is expected to cause “moderate” delays of around 10 to 30 minutes, according to National Highways.

There are also some M25 and A1 closures to be aware of over the next two weeks.
