Looking for something to do or somewhere to go over the May Bank Holiday weekend?
Here's five suggestions of what's on in Hertfordshire over the 2024 May Bank Holiday weekend.
1. Vic's Fest - The Victoria, Hitchin
Taking place at The Victoria pub this weekend, Vic's Fest is set to be a poignant but fun-filled three days.
Usually known as Vic Fest, this year's edition of the event has been renamed to honour former pub owner Victoria Kevans, who passed away earlier this year following a battle with cancer.
Live music, beer, cider and great food from Bun Lovin' Criminals and Dirty Dough Pizza Co. will all be on offer this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with the pub promising "non-stop good times".
It will be for a good cause too, with fundraising taking place for Victoria's memorial and her two chosen charities, EGFR Positive and Yes to Life Charity.
2. Hertfordshire Garden Show - Knebworth House
If you're looking for some garden inspiration ahead of summer, then the Hertfordshire Garden Show at Knebworth House is a must-visit this weekend.
Taking place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, gates will open from 9.30am every day, with Knebworth House, Gardens and Park visitors getting in for no additional charge.
There will be plenty of inspiration supplied by the exhibitors attending the show with a wide variety of goods on display and for sale including garden furniture, water features, hot tubs, tools, sculptures and more.
3. Baldock Beer Festival - Baldock
After a great beer or two with friends this weekend? Then the Baldock Beer Festival is just the place for you.
Taking place at Baldock Community Centre, the two-day event will start on Friday from 5pm to 11pm, followed by a 12pm to 11pm stint on Saturday.
Entry will cost £5, with live music set to accompany the cask ale, real cider and keg beer on offer.
4. Kimpton May Festival - Kimpton
Taking place around the village from Friday to Monday, there will be plenty to see and do at Kimpton May Festival.
Art show, procession, fete, food, bars, cream teas, maypole, crafts, sport, dog shows, live music, children's activities, arena acts and more will be spread across four jam-packed days of fun.
The theme of this year's festival is The Magic of the Musicals, so warm up those singing voices, dust off those dancing shoes and get ready to join in.
5. Market Lates - Watford
Market Lates at Watford Market will be taking place from 6pm to 11pm, and will be a great way to start the long weekend.
There will be craft beer, a pop-up bar and delicious street food from around the globe on offer, including Caribbean, Asian and Korean street food.
Live music from Soraya Ray and Studio 6 Band will provide the entertainment, as well as a book signing with Apprentice and social media star Tom Skinner. Bosh!
