Residents and staff at a care home marked a day that celebrates the older generation.
Silver Sunday celebrations at Hill House Bupa Care Home in Elstree included a performance by local singer Cliff Jones as well as tea and homemade cake, a sing-along and a quiz led by activities organiser Loredana Ancutei.
Rita, 95, who lives at Hill House, said: “What a fantastic afternoon. The activities made me so happy, and it was lovely to spend time chatting with my fellow residents.”
Care home manager Ben Domah added: “All of the team and residents had a brilliant time celebrating Silver Sunday.
“Here at Hill House, we know how important it is for older people to continue to enjoy new activities and to connect with one other. We look forward to continuing to host activities that put a big smile on our residents’ faces.”
