Radlett had a special visitor last weekend as it played host to Dr Laslo Szalay, the Mayor of Dunaharaszti, in Hungary.
Since visiting Hungary last summer, twin town association, Radlett and Aldenham International Friendship Association (RAIFA) have been holding discussions about twinning Radlett with Dunaharaszti.
As part of the visit Dr Szalay and his colleagues Marianna Bucsko and Zoltan Petho took a tour of the area, including stops at Shenley Park, Newberries Primary School, in Newberries Avenue, Borehamwood market and Bhaktivedanta Manor, in Letchmore Heath.
Dr Szalay also had a chance to meet with Hertsmere's mayor Councillor Martin Saunders, at a reception hosted by Aldenham Parish Council.
RAIFA are confident about Radlett's prospective partner, which is located near to the capital of Budapest RAIFA Chairman Clive Glover said: "It has been a very enjoyable weekend for us and I am confident we will be able to establish a number of links between Radlett and their counterparts in Dunaharaszti over the coming months."
