A parcel from a stolen van was found outside Borehamwood Police Station last week.
At around 3.40pm last Tuesday a man was seen getting into a white Renault van in Paynesfield Road, Bushey Heath. The man is thought to have driven off along Paynesfield Road towards Elstree Road.
It was later found in Round Bush, Aldenham. Several parcels were discovered in the vehicle, but others were later recovered in Barnet Lane, Borehamwood and one outside Borehamwood Police Station, in Elstree Way.
PC Geoff Webb, who is investigating the incident, said: "It is possible that whoever stole the vehicle decided that the contents were of no value to him and discarded them at points in his journey." Police are calling for witnesses who saw a vehicle driving along with items being discarded, or anyone who found anything that had been dumped.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 0845 33 00 222 quoting reference J2/08/581 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
