We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Borehamwood and Elstree Times for its continuing support of the community toilets scheme that we proposed last year (Toilet scheme could soon be rolled out, March 21).
Our proposal was, we thought, supported by the entire borough council, but 15 months later we still have no facilities in Shenley Road.The first delaying tactic was to send the proposal to be reviewed at a scrutiny committee.All the information has now been 'scrutinised' and still the report has not been presented to the council's executive committee. As far as we are aware, the report is not going to the executive anytime soon, so another month rolls by. Are the Conservatives really in favour of the scheme if it is taking so long to come to fruition?
