Anthony Joshua appears to be set to fight Tyson Fury before the end of the year after his team accepted terms set out by Fury for an event.
Fury had initially challenged Joshua to a 'Battle of Britain' showdown, shortly after AJ's loss to Oleksandr Usyk in August.
This was because it would be unlikely Fury would be able to fight Usyk himself until 2023.
Sky Sports News reported that Fury initially highlighted November 26 at Wembley or December 3 at Cardiff as potential dates for the fight.

258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday.
Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication.
We are awaiting a response.
In a statement on Twitter today Joshua's 258 Management said: "258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday.
"Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response."
Fury's promoter Frank Warren replied shortly after saying: "Contract will be with you very soon."
A fight between Fury and Joshua had been planned for August 2021, before an arbitration judge ruled that Deontay Wilder was contractually entitled to a third fight against Fury in their encounters.
After defeating Wilder for the second time in October 2021, Fury didn't fight again until April 2022 when he came out on top against Dillian Whyte.
The 34-year-old claimed that he was retiring from the sport after that, but the prospect of finally going up against Joshua seems to have been too good to turn down.
