A van has been damaged beyond repair after a suspected arson.
The vehicle went up in flames at around 3am on Tuesday (September 6) in Arundel Drive in Borehamwood.
Police say the white Peugeot Boxer van, which was near the junction with Manor Way, suffered extensive damage.
The heat and flames also caused damage to a grey Ford Fiesta parked next to it. The number plate burned and a panel on the boot melted.
A 38-year-old man from Enfield has been arrested on suspicion of arson and criminal damage.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Katie Stevens, from the Hertsmere local crime unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
“If you were driving through the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please check it and get in contact if you spot something that might help our investigation.
“Similarly, if you live nearby and have a doorbell camera, please also take a look.”
