A carer from Borehamwood who has grown her hair for more than four years has had it all shaved off to raise money for a cancer charity.
Yvonne Brindley braved the shave losing more than 20 inches at the Alfred Arms pub on July 19.
Her selfless deed has raised nearly £650 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Yvonne, who works as a team leader for Right at Home Borehamwood & Watford, said: "Everyone is affected by cancer at some point in their lives. I have supported friends and clients through cancer treatment and I know how difficult it can be for them and their loved ones.
"I hope the money raised will give people going through this trying experience comfort and offer some light at the end of the tunnel.”
Her hair has been donated to the Little Princess Trust.
Jenny Madghachian, owner of Right at Home Borehamwood & Watford, hailed Yvonne, saying: "Yvonne is always going above and beyond for her clients and team members.
"She is passionate and caring and this is just another example of her unwavering kindness. We are so proud to have her on the Right at Home team.”
