A pub is welcoming back punters after launching under a new name following a £173,000 investment.
Good Companion in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, reopened following a fresh facelift and revamp.
Formerly The Wishing Well, the venue has been refurbished with a new look inside. New seating has been added in the garden area, along with new flooring and planting.
Other improvements include an illuminated dartboard, with customers able to enjoy a number of large televisions and a pool table as well.
The pub will be hosting a launch weekend from Thursday August 4, with a charity night kicking off the celebrations, followed up by casino and 70’s disco nights with a DJ and fancy dress.
The pub is now part of the Craft Union Pub Company, which is owned by the Stonegate group.
Stonegate’s regional manager of The Good Companion, Gavin Chinasamy, said: “It’s a great feeling to welcome guests back to The Good Companion once again after the investment into this fantastic venue.
“We’ve had a great response from our guests on the new appearance and we’ve been as busy as ever since reopening the doors."
He added: "To oversee the fresh new look to such a popular local pub within the Borehamwood community is such a privilege, myself and the team are very excited for a busy summer of events and fun with our visitors.”
