An MP believes Radlett station is deserving of funding that is used to specifically improve accessibility for transport.
Oliver Dowden says it can be "impossible" for some people to get the train because there are no lifts at the station.
The Hertsmere Conservative politician posted on his Facebook page: "Like many local residents, I have long been frustrated by the poor accessibility and lack of lifts at Radlett station.
"At the moment, the only way someone can use the train to travel to and from the station is to climb the stairs up to the footbridge.
"This makes it very hard, or impossible, for someone with greater accessibility needs, like someone who uses a wheelchair, is travelling with a pram or someone who cannot climb the stairs, to use this station."
Mr Dowden has pushed the case for improved accessiblity at Radlett station by nominating it to receive new Government funding.
He explained: "As the next round of Access for All funding opens, I have nominated Radlett station to be given the investment needed to install lifts and make the station accessible.
"I have always campaigned to improve our local transport networks and I think everyone, regardless of their accessibility needs, should be able to use them."
