Police say they have been working to tackle "rowdy" behaviour and drug use by a block of flats in Borehamwood.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says residents have been complaining about youths congregating and behaving anti-socially in and around Paxton Court in Manor Way.
As a result, officers have been focusing their efforts on trying to resolve the issue - and say as a result, calls to this area have reduced.
Borehamwood and Elstree safer neighbourhood team sergeant Matt Cann said: "Residents in the area reported littering, drug use and general rowdy behaviour during evenings and weekends.
"They should not have to put up with this and I am pleased they reported it to us. In response we made this one of our priorities to tackle over a three-month period from December last year.
"We increased patrols and identified those who were engaging in this behaviour and spoke to them about the effect it was having on residents.
"We also met with the caretaker and discussed the issue and how we can work together to address it.
"I’m pleased to report that in the period this was made a priority we have received just one call to police."
The safer neighbourhood team recently announced its latest set of policing priorities for Hertsmere, with Paxton Court to be kept under close watch.
Sergeant Cann said: "Although we have just published our next set of priorities for Hertsmere, we will be continuing to keep a watchful eye on this issue and will take action where necessary.
"As always we rely on the public’s help to do this so please report any anti-social behaviour online, using our online web chat, or call our non-emergency number 101. If a crime is in progress always dial 999."
