Police say they have listened and reacted to concerns about off-road motorcycling.
The Hertsmere safer neighbourhood team says it received reports in late 2021 of bikers riding illegally and in an anti-social manner in Borehamwood and Radlett.
The incidents are reported to take place at various times of the day, and cause a noise nuisance to local residents, as well as damage to the area.
Sergeant Iain Brunt says as a result of concerns, resources were focused on the North Medburn Farm area in Radlett and on land off Theobald Street.
Sgt Brunt said: "As a result of feedback we made this one of our priorities to tackle over a three-month period from November last year.
"We worked with Hertfordshire County Council to arrange for access points to be reviewed so that preventative measures could be put in place. As a result, new fencing and ‘motorcycle inhibitors’ have been installed at entrance points to public footpaths off Theobald Street to stop motorcyclists from gaining access to the land.
"Thanks to the support of Hertsmere Borough Council, warning signage will also be going up shortly."
Additionally, a number of Section 59 warnings have been issued to riders which means if caught riding illegally again, their bike can be seized.
Operations to tackle this issue are set to continue over the coming months.
