Two men have been charged in connection with an attempted garage burglary in Borehamwood.

Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to reports of people attempting to break into a garage in Stanborough Avenue around 11am on Monday, February 28.

Officers searched the area before stopping a vehicle and arresting the occupants.

George Cardy, aged 21, and Jaye Cardy, aged 29, both of Garden Cottages, Frogmore have been charged with attempted burglary.

They have been released on bail and are next due to appear at court on 25 March.

PC Brad Glover from the Operation Scorpion Team said: “We would like to thank those who called to alert us to a crime in progress – their quick thinking meant we were able to attend quickly and make these arrests.
