The Orchard Tea Rooms, at Shenley Park in Radlett Lane, posted on its Facebook page this morning that there has been a gas leak.
The tearooms said there is still access to the park via Radlett Lane but only from the direction of Radlett.
According to traffic data management website One Network, gas distribution network company Cadent is responsible for fixing the issue in Radlett Lane.
The One Network website states Cadent has been given a permit of until December 10 to complete the work.
It is unknown at this time whether the closure will be lifted sooner or later than December 10, and whether temporary traffic lights may be installed, which would allow the road to be partially reopened.
While the road remains shut, drivers can divert via Harper Lane or through Shenley and Borehamwood.
Cadent Gas has been approached for further information.
