Motorists visiting the Allum Hall vaccination centre are urged to approach the site from Elstree amid heavy traffic in Borehamwood.
Queues are forming all the way down the High Street this morning and also in Allum Lane up to the Asda filling station.
The petrol station is busier than usual, according to google maps.
Police are at the scene helping manage congestion in the area.

It said in a tweet: “If you are attending the vaccination centre in Allum Hall, Allum Lane in Elstree this morning, please approach from the #Elstree end of Allum Lane, due to traffic congestion in the area.
