A hut resembling Hagrid’s hideaway has been listed among the UK’s most unusual places to stay – and it’s within a broomstick ride of Watford.
The glamping family retreat on North Hill Farm, Chorleywood, is adorned with nods to the Harry Potter series as well as natural stone flooring and a conical roof.
Host Unusual, which lists the country’s most unique accommodation spots, says there is a huge drum bath, soft glowing wood burner and flickering lanterns adding to its charm.
Perfect for a reclusive half-giant gamekeeper, or wizard fans wanting a getaway, the hut is 15 minutes from the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios in Leavesden.
Set in rustic surroundings it also has a kitchen boasting the essentials – a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster – as well as a “bucket overhead shower”.
It sleeps up to five guests with a king size double bed, a single, and a downy bunk.
There is a minimum two-night booking on weekends, with small supplement prices for each additional guest.
