Dozens of cars swarmed Borehamwood last night for a large car meet.
Drivers packed their cars into the Boulevard around 10pm on Friday and were heard from across the town.
A video published on social media shows Borehamwood’s shopping park full of cars and drivers honking their horns, with police also at the scene.
Reports on social media suggest the car meet had also moved across the town and had been near Morrisons as well as Warwick Road, Chester Road and Manor Way.
Borehamwood residents took to social media to vent their anger over the car meet after being kept awake by the noise.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it is aware of the car meet, which moved to Hemel Hempstead as well.
Officers attended and worked to clear the Maylands Park area.
The scene was cleared just after midnight.
