Retirees in Borehamwood recently enjoyed a summer garden party celebration for the first social event in months.
The doors to Goldwyn House in Studio Way development were opened to the public with locals invited to join homeowners for a glass of Pimms or Prosecco in the gardens.
Live entertainment added to the laidback atmosphere as everyone raised a glass to brighter days ahead.
Exclusively for the over 70s, Goldwyn House is a vibrant and welcoming community, featuring a collection of stylish, low maintenance privately-owned apartments.
Homeowners at the development can make the most of their independence while also having the peace of mind that comes with being surrounded by like-minded individuals.
Julie Ward, national sales director for Goldwyn House developer McCarthy Stone, said: "Our summer garden party was a great success. As our first social event for the local community for many months, it was eagerly-awaited and we all absolutely loved welcoming local retirees back to Goldwyn House for a glass of Pimms or Prosecco in the garden.
"After the challenges everyone has faced over the last year or so, we are very grateful to all those who attended the event – which we ensured was manged safely according to the latest social distancing guidelines."
Julie added: "Not only did our visitors make the most of the opportunity to take a closer look at the development they were also able to get an insight into the independent lifestyle and social activities homeowners can enjoy as part of a vibrant Retirement Living Plus community."
