More than 35,000 residents in Hertsmere over the age of 50 have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, according to the latest figures from the NHS.
The data from NHS England shows 35,384 over 50s in the borough received both of their doses of the Covid-19 vaccine by June 6, which is 89.6 per cent of the total over 50s population in Hertsmere.
This includes 8,607 over 50s who live in Borehamwood who have had two jabs.
A further 12,915 Hertsmere residents aged under 50 have also been fully vaccinated, so based on a 2018 population estimate of 104,205, around 46 per cent of the borough's total population have been fully vaccinated, as of June 6.
A total of 114,519 first and second doses have been administered in the town.
In Hertfordshire, St Albans has recorded the highest proportion of over 50s to be fully vaccinated, with 90.6 per cent of the city’s over 50s so far given maximum protection against the disease.
Dacorum ranks the lowest of Hertfordshire’s ten districts, but has still been able to vaccinate 84.8 per cent of its over 50s.

In England, around six in every seven over 50s are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19, new figures suggest.
An estimated 85.8 per cent of people in this age group had received two doses of a vaccine by June 6.
The time between vaccine doses has also been shortened for over 50s, from 12 weeks to eight weeks, to try to give maximum possible protection against the spread of the Delta variant of coronavirus that originated in India.
A total of 42,323 cases of the Delta variant of coronavirus that originated in India have now been confirmed in the UK, up by 29,892 from last week, Public Health England said.
In England, the highest estimated proportion of people aged 50 and over to be fully vaccinated is in Stratford-upon-Avon (96 per cent), according to analysis by the PA news agency.
This is followed by Bath & North East Somerset (93.7 per cent), Warwick (93.6 per cent) and Mid Suffolk (93.5 per cent).
The lowest proportion is in the London borough of Westminster (59.3 per cent), the City of London (60.6 per cent) and the London borough of Tower Hamlets (62.2 per cent).
