  • The election count at the Radlett Centre has now finished and all of the seats up for election have been filled, including seven county council, two borough, and seven parish seats.

  • It has been a very good day for the Labour party, which won all three seats up for grabs in Borehamwood, all of which were gains from the Conservatives.

  • The Tories have suffered a further loss to the Liberal Democrats in Bushey.

  • The Conservatives still hold a very healthy majority at Hertfordshire County Council but today's results represent a huge shake-up in Borehamwood.

  • Richard Butler and Michelle Vince, who both serve as Hertsmere borough councillors, will now both represent residents in Borehamwood as county councillors, on a range of issues including adult care, roads, and schools.

  • Over in Bushey North, the Conservatives' Jane West lost her seat to Laurence Brass, who was standing for the Liberal Democrats.

  • The Conservatives have retained their county council seats in Bushey South, Potters Bar West & Shenley, Potters Bar East, and Watling (Radlett and Elstree).

  • Results have also been announced for the two-by elections held for two seats on Hertsmere Borough Council. Dan Ozarow has won the Borehamwood Kenilworth seat for Labour, which is a gain from the Tories, while the Liberal Democrats held their Bushey North seat.

  • Two Independent candidates - Nicky Beaton and Sharon Madsen - have won the race to become Shenley parish councillors, with residents in Radlett and Shenley both voting to adopt their respective neighbourhood plans, which will help shape future development of their villages.
