Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Borehamwood.
At around 6pm on Monday (April 26) police were called to Eldon Avenue after two men were seen acting suspiciously in the area.
Officers from the Borehamwood safer neighbourhood team and scorpion team attended and located the men who were stopped, searched and found to be in possession of cannabis and cash.
Both men were arrested on suspicion of being in possession with intent to supply class B drugs. They were subsequently released on bail, with conditions not to enter the borough of Hertsmere, while enquiries continue.
PC Tim Levitt, of the Hertsmere scorpion team, said: “The safer neighbourhood team and the scorpion team regularly carry out targeted patrols in the area in order to deter offenders.
"We are working hard to target those suspected of being involved with drugs and are grateful to the community who are supporting this work.
"I hope this arrest reassures residents that we will do all we can to tackle drug related crime in Hertsmere.
"If you suspect someone in your neighbourhood is involved in drug crime please let us know so we can take action."
