A road closure in Borehamwood town centre should be lifted tomorrow (Thursday).
Vehicle access into Allum Lane by Elstree & Borehamwood train station has been blocked since this morning due to roadworks.
Water supplier Affinity Water has been at the scene today carrying out emergency repairs.
A photo shows work being carried out on the edge of a mini-roundabout, with no access in or out of Allum Lane between the roundabout and the Asda petrol station.
It means buses have been on diversion and drivers have had to find alternative routes to get between Borehamwood and Elstree.
However, an Affinity Water spokesperson has told the Times that the necessary work has been completed and the road is expected to reopen tomorrow, once the surface has been reinstated.
But an exact time for reopening tomorrow has not been given.
There is pressure for the supplier to complete the work quickly with Allum Hall vaccination centre, just seconds up the road, opening up again on Friday for another round of Covid jabs.
